Our Founder

Josh Puckett is a visionary leader in personal development, team leadership, and programming, dedicated to creating pathways for transformation and redemption. His remarkable journey began in an unconventional setting—behind bars—where he founded The Adolescent Redemption Project, a sister organization with a groundbreaking mission. In 2019, one year before the 2020 elections, Josh spearheaded efforts to flip the Michigan Supreme Court to Democratic control, a pivotal move aimed at securing justice in a case that ultimately led to his release from prison.

While his political acumen played a significant role in this achievement, Josh’s true passion lies in empowering individuals and fostering safer, more empathetic communities. For decades, he has written and facilitated impactful programs that have touched the lives of countless individuals. His programs are actively utilized in prisons across Michigan. Josh’s dedication to education and hope has brought profound change, especially for youth affected by trauma, helping them thrive regardless of their circumstances.

Josh holds several state and collegiate certifications that underscore his expertise and commitment. He is a state-certified Trauma-Informed Peer-Led Re-entry Specialist, a Gang Interventionist, and a published author. Academically, he has degrees in Business Administration and Arts and certifications in Public Administration, Business Management, and Small Business Administration. His vocational training in Horticulture and Greenhouse Management reflects his lifelong passion for growth and learning.

Josh’s unwavering goal is to make society a safer, more empathetic, and enjoyable place, particularly for those who have experienced trauma in their youth. Through his leadership, TARRP continues to inspire and drive meaningful change.

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."
